I live in the southwest part of the United States in a small house crammed with memories. I love to sit in front of a fireplace, take adventurous trips, drink copious amounts of coffee supplemented with iced tea, and spend time with friends.
And read. Did I mention I love to read? Favorite genres include fantasy, cozy mysteries, science fiction, and some romance. To my surprise, in college I took a course on Medieval Literature and absolutely loved it.
Currently I am without a pet, but when I get another, it will most likely be a cat. I love dogs too. I grew up with them. But I have found a special affinity for cats.
My Writing Journey
I have been writing most of my life. A short story here, a bit of poetry there. Not continually, but not for lack of desire.
I have been fortunate to find fellow writers who are willing to share their journey with me. We love and encourage each other while helping improve the stories we want to tell.
In 2019 I had an opportunity to enter a short story for consideration to be published in an anthology by a local writer’s group. And then it happened. The story was published and I wasn’t just a writer, I was an author.
